Interested in hosting an international homestay student but not sure if it will be for you? Why not try it out by welcoming a Japanese student into your home for a three-night homestay.
We’re looking for Southern Gold Coast families (or any hosts that don’t mind a drive south for a drop off and pick on the Friday) to host a group of female Japanese students visiting the Gold Coast during the school holidays from Thursday 29 June – Sunday 2 July 2023.
The details:
Dates: Thurs 29 June – Sun 02 July 2023 (3 nights)
Nationality & age: Japanese female 16 – 17-year-olds
School location: Tweed Heads (only 1 day at school)
Host requirements: Twin or Triple homestay placements. Hosts to provide 3 meals daily (breakfast, lunch and dinner), access to wifi and transport to and from school in Tweed Heads on Friday 30 June.
Tentative Itinerary:
Thursday: afternoon arrival at school in Tweed Heads or at the Broadbeach Library.
Friday: school day in Tweed Heads (morning drop off between 8-8:30am and afternoon pickup between 3:30-4:30pm).
Saturday: a fee day with the host family.
Sunday: afternoon departure from school in Tweed Heads or at the Broadbeach Library.
